I am an active researcher in the interdisciplinary field (both civil engineering and economics) and author of a dozen scientific papers dealing with various aspects of project management and the life cycle of projects as well as quantitative methods in decision-making, especially in construction project management. My focus is on both the theory and practice of decision-making for poorly structured problems that occur in civil engineering and involve multiple-criteria, goals, and objectives by examining the links between single and group decision-making approaches in decision support systems. Also, I’m a member of several societies: Croatian Association of Construction Management, Croatian Association of Project Management, and Croatian Association of Operational Research.

I graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Osijek, and I currently work as an assistant at the Department of Construction Management and Technology at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Civil Engineering. My research interest is in the field of construction project management, primarily building maintenance management. I have published four scientific papers in journals indexed in the SCOPUS database, two of which are in the WoSCC database, two scientific papers in other journals, and I have participated in five international conferences. I’m a collaborator on two active scientific research projects at the University of Rijeka, and also I’m a member of the Croatian Association of Construction Management.

I am currently a teaching/research assistant at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Rijeka and a Ph.D. student. I participate in courses in the field of organization and construction technology. Areas of my research interest are the application of video analysis in MATrix LABoratory (MATLAB) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) technology for earthworks. I am also interested in dealing with statistical data analysis of weather conditions in order to mathematically determine the expected days of delay at a construction site. Other areas of my interest include project delivery methods and risk management. I actively conduct research, write papers, and participate in conferences.
